The Cardinal Bea Centre for Judaic Studies is part of the ISIRC (Institute for the Interdisciplinary Study of Religions and Cultures), and at the same time maintains and develops its own identity.

In collaboration with the Faculties of Theology and Philosophy of the Pontifical Gregorian University, with the Pontifical Biblical Institute, and with academic centres in Italy and abroad, it offers a variety of courses, lectures, conferences, and other programmes, including a specialisation in Judaic Studies, that offers a diploma and Master of Arts. Many of these initiatives are geared not only toward students and faculty of the Gregorian University, but are also addressed to a broader public.

The Centre bases itself on the spiritual patrimony common to Christians and Jews, and has as its aim to “promote between them the mutual knowledge and esteem that come above all from biblical and theological studies and from a fraternal dialogue” (Vatican II, Nostra Aetate 4).
