What is Z39.50?
Z39.50 is a protocol which specifies data structures and interchange rules that allow a client machine to search databases on a server machine and retrieve records that are identified as a result of such a search.

Amicus and the Z39.50 protocol
AMICUS, the Integrated Library System adopted by the Gregorian University Library, is a Z39.50 Server. To interrogate the Library Catalog users need a Z39.50 client suitably adapted. Commercial or open source software is available to allow access to Z39.50 servers and manage bibliographies.

The System is case sensitive, you need to respect capital and lowercase letters.
