Grant for Doctorate Studies in Science and Philosophy
The specialization of “Science and Philosophy” offers at least one Annual Scholarship for Doctorate Studies, with possibility of renewal for a second or third year. The grant consists of 9,000 euro yearly, dating from October 1st of the Academic year in question. It is awarded to the student considered most suitable by the Examining Commission.
The requisites needed to obtain the grant are the following:
Each one of the three requisites contributes to the final evaluation of the Commission. In particular, the curriculum studiorum and Licentiate title cover 40%, while the research project and colloquy each contribute 30% to the overall evaluation.
The results of the work of the Commission will be made known a week after the oral Exam.
IMPORTANT: Admission to Doctorate and Licentiate Studies is the exclusive competence of the Faculty of Philosophy of the Gregorian Pontifical University. The candidate must request admission at the Secretary’s Office of the Faculty, and only after the positive response of this Faculty is the candidate permitted to pursue the subsequent steps at the Secretary’s Office of the Specialisation in Science and Philosophy.
