Contents: This Seminar is designed to introduce the students to the study of Sacred Theology. I Semester: Introduction to the Study of Theology, Virtue of Studium in Intellectual life, Theological Research I: Books, Resources On-Line and Library, Theological Research II: How to write a Theological Paper? Vocation of the theologian, Theological Method, Apostolic Tradition, Scripture and Magisterium, the Mystery of Christ, Soteriology, The Mystery of God (De Deo, De Creatione). Objectives: At the end of I Semester, students can engage in theological research and writing according to the Method of the Gregorian University. They also are able to articulate the systematic organum of the Study of Theology. At the end of II Semester, students can articulate a proper understanding of material taught in the First Year of Theology at the PUG per viam the elaboration of a monography. Method. Weekly presentations of the professor, class discussions based on assigned readings, weekly presentations by the students and weekly integration essay. Evaluation: Each week, the students present a weekly integrative essay based on the assigned reading. I semester: the student using all integrative essays creates a three-page synthesis paper.
