Objectives : The seminar aims to provide the students a broad overview of some important contemporary theological, missiological, and contextual issues related to the mission of the Church.
Contents: Each week, a guest lecturer or speaker will present a topic or theme of contemporary missiological import. While the final schedule of speakers is yet to be determined, it is envisioned that among the topics to be covered will be: the theology of salvation and conversion; international migration; new media and the digital world; women in the Church; safeguarding and mission; contextual theology; the Oriental churches; synodality and mission, among others.
Methodology: Each week, an invited guest lecturer will offer a presentation of the selected topic for the first hour. The second hour will be dedicated to conversation and dialogue with the lecturer.
Means of evaluation: A final reflection paper, along with active participation in the weekly meetings, will be the basis of the final grade.
