Objectives: At the end of the course the students will be able to create a culturally-sensitive process of accompaniment which starts from the victim. They will be able to set up a holistic process which gives victims the opportunity to access the healing process on different levels.
Content : Trauma theory and kinds of therapy; cultural differences; effectiveness and limits of various treatments; spiritual and holistic pathways towards healing and reconciliation; possibilities for participation of victims, restorative justice.
Methodology: The course will combine lectures, reading, and seminar discussion and will focus on a range of selected texts.
Means of evaluation: Evaluation will be based on class participation and a written paper.
It will be indicated at the beginning of the course.
