"Gregorian Goes Green" - Good practices

The commitment of the Pontifical Gregorian University for integral ecology continues and is strengthened through a multiplicity of good practices

The most recent is the implementation of the separate collection system, with the appropriate binders (paper, organic waste, plastic, undifferentiated) placed in all the rooms, as well as in the Greg Cafè and in the offices in general. According to the required provisions, the bags are transparent to verify the actual differentiation of the collection. The batteries, on the other hand, must be placed in separate bins, which can be ordered at the porter's lodge.

A second kind of good practice concerns the air conditioning systems, active since last November 15 in the morning and evening bands, and adapted to the external climatic conditions. The heating system in particular requires common attention to combat waste (e.g. not keeping windows open beyond the necessary air exchange), as is also the case with our use of electrical installations (e.g. not occupying a classroom for individual study) .

These good practices are aimed at creating a common sensitivity, which we also need to exercise in our homes, in our communities or parishes. These good practices are occasions to exercise due respect for the personnel in charge of the maintenance of the structure. Education takes place not only by instruction but also through good practices and the sharing of good habits. Our commitment as a university community needs to continue to move in this direction.
