On Friday 23 October, following a long illness, Dr. Sara Bianchini was called to the Father's house. Dr. Bianchini was an associate professor at the Faculty of Philosophy. "An intelligent, courageous and combative woman, young and cheerful", recalls Fr. Gaetano Piccolo S.J., Dean of the Faculty. "Even in her name, now, even more so, we must commit ourselves to our service. Sara has always had a great love for the students and a deep passion for her work".

The body will be exhibited on Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the mortuary of the Addolorata Hospital, in Via di Santo Stefano Rotondo 5, Rome. The funeral will be celebrated on Monday at about 10:30 a.m. in the Cathedral of San Clemente in Velletri.

In this moment of sorrow the University community wants to gather around its loved ones with gratitude, affection and prayer. In the coming days the Faculty of Philosophy will organise a moment of prayer to remember Dr Bianchini as an academic community.
