Specialization in Family Ministry

The Diploma in Practical Theology with specialization in Family Ministry is a one-year training course aimed at pastoral animators and professionals in the area of marriage and the family to respond to the expectations, challenges and uncertainties of marriage and the family today.

Offered by the Department of Moral Theology, the Diploma runs through annual seminars that take place on weekends (Friday afternoon and all day Saturday). It also includes lectures guided by professors, personal or group meetings, the possibility to choose a course (programs of Theology, Sociology, Canon Law or the Alberto Hurtado Program), the writing of an essay and a final exam. The training course will offer a look at the family with theological, spiritual, anthropological, sociological, psychological and family therapy attention. Particular attention will be devoted to training discernment and accompaniment by valuing the instruments suitable for an understanding of complexity and differences.

Registrations for the academic year 2020-2021 will be open from September 15 to October 1, 2020. The lessons will start on Friday, October 9th; if the health emergency does not allow for presential teaching, the meetings will be held in telematic form.
