Technological updating for blended teaching

In view of the new academic year, the Pontifical Gregorian University has equipped several classrooms with a hardware and software conference call system to allow for livestreaming lessons.

The technological equipment in each of these classrooms is composed of a 4k webcam with auto-track, two 27’’ touch monitors, a projector and a PC connected to the audio direction of the classroom. It will allow our professors to carry out lessons simultaneously in presence and remotely through the Moodle software platform and the BigBlueButton web conference system.

The new technological set-up will also facilitate the interaction of students in the lessons, who will be able to ask questions either through audio or chat. Those students who, for time zone reasons, will be unable to attend the lesson live, will be able to review it later.
