La questione antropologica oggi

As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Institute of Psychology, we wish to look to the future, rather than to the past. The world is being transformed in a way never seen before and at the heart of these changes lies the anthropological question. Pope Francis even speaks of an "anthropological crisis, which concerns the very conception of the human person and his transcendent dignity" (Address to the Members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to the Holy See, 8 February 2021). Globalisation, new technologies, ecological crisis, post-humanity and many other issues challenge us today.  Will the Church be able to respond in a creative and forward-looking way?

We wish to address these important issues by promoting a debate between psychologists, philosophers and theologians. We are aware that a good householder "brings out of his treasure new things and old things" (Mt 13:52). Aware, therefore, of the heritage we have inherited, we wish to address the challenges of the present to prepare a better future.
