"Agapē incontra Karuṇā. Camminando insieme: realtà, speranze e sfide del dialogo cristiano buddhista in Sri Lanka"

Forum del Centro Studi Interreligiosi della Gregoriana a.a. 2021-2022

Sri Lanka is a predominantly Buddhist country. The origins of Buddhism in Sri Lanka date back to 3rd BC. Catholicism in Sri Lanka has coexisted with traditional Buddhism since approximately 1505. This encounter between Agapē and Karuṇā has borne much fruit for the culture and people of the country. We therefore nurture the great hope that an even deeper dialogue between Buddhists and Catholics along this journey together will further enrich the people of Sri Lanka and also bring a powerful message of harmony to the whole world.
