What do Confucianism and Taoism, the two great spiritual traditions of China, mean to us today and what do they have to say to us? We are currently witnessing a rediscovery of them that would have been unimaginable only a few decades ago: how and why have their perceptions and representations changed?

The forum aims to offer some first orientations on this complex theme, with reference to the most recent developments in studies that allow us today to take a renewed look at ancient sources such as the Dialogues of Confucius (Lunyu) and Laozi, the "Tao Te Ching", the founding text of Taoism, where the Dao way is taught.
