The environmental crisis we are going through makes theological reflection on creation particularly urgent, while the resurgence of evil in the devastating forms of pandemic and war questions us about our faith: where is God? In this regard, biblical wisdom and the figure of Job in particular are still a salutary provocation today. With the intention of responding to this provocation, the Pontifical Gregorian University and the Pontifical Academy of Theology felt urged to propose a lectio magistralis committed to re-presenting the question of God's wisdom and his action in creation.
