- Il Poliedro della Pastorale Familiare
The Research Group of the "Diploma in Practical Theology with a specialization in Family Pastoral Ministry" at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome has composed this book in a time shrouded in the darkness of a pandemic that has so marked daily life, but which it is possible to welcome as a revelatory kairós, unmasking so many certainties, uncovering our vulnerability, a tragic emblem of a globalization that invokes solidarity, recognizing the fragile weaving of peoples and nations in which everything is connected. A time that challenges us to move forward. The challenge has the shape of the polyhedron, offered by Pope Francis to stimulate the Church's pastoral action. The polyhedron can also represent marriage and family reality, not to be thought of according to models of perfection, convinced that life, even the most complex to be integrated in the Gospel perspective, expresses the story of a grace that leaves no one behind. And pastoral action, whether it is expressed in reflection or engaged in practice, must have as its springing point the conviction that the Gospel as a hypothesis of life can inhabit spaces in which imperfection is an epiphany of a constitutive limitation of existence, but not a barrier that obstructs God's providential and merciful action, mediated by the Church, the human and humanizing face of His love.
