LA CURA ANIMARUM NELLA CITTÀ DI ROMA
L'attività del Vescovo di Roma tra storia, liturgia e cultura materiale (secc. IV-VII)
The cura animarum accompanies man from birth to death, producing material evidence, recognizable signs of the transitus Domini in History (cf. St. Paul VI, Address to Ecclesiastical Archivists, September 26, 1963).
The conference organized by the magazine Archivum Historiae Pontificiae, the Faculty of History and Cultural Heritage of the Church and the National Institute of Roman Studies is dedicated to these historical traces of the cura animarum, particularly in the city of Rome. The focus is on the historical evolution of the action of the Church in the care of souls, through the testimony of written and monumental sources, with particular regard to the action of the Pontiffs in the city of Rome.
