L'Islam in Italia: il caso romano della Jamaat al-Tabligh

With its two and a half million believers, Islam is the second religion in Italy. A relatively recent presence, initially established mainly in the north of the country, and then settled permanently in central and southern Italy. But like the other religions, also the Koranic one is dotted with a multiplicity of trends. Among these, to prevail in Rome is the traditionalist dimension represented by the Italian Islamic Confederation and the pietist dimension of Jamāʻt al-tablīgh.
