"L'umanità (ren 仁) in Confucio e Mencio"

Forum del Centro Studi Interreligiosi della Gregoriana a.a. 2021-2022

"Ren (仁) is man": an important topic in ancient Confucianism; Ren is a fundamental term in the thought of Confucius and Mencius that indicates how people must behave in order to realize their humanity, that is, to embody love. This principle also invites modern man to get out of his own selfishness, to find the true meaning of his own existence and make man the protagonist of his full development to become a "man of value", that is, a true ren man.
