L'abbazia di S. Croce di Sassovivo presso Foligno e la sua realtà materiale

The publication, second volume of the series "I quaderni di Sassovivo. Storia arte archeologia", presents the results of archaeological investigations and studies related to the campaigns conducted in the years 2015 and 2016, at the abbey of S. Croce di Sassovivo (Foligno).

Since 2015 the Department of Cultural Heritage of the Church participates in the Sassovivo research project promoted by the School of Specialization in Architectural Heritage and Landscape of the Sapienza University of Rome, in collaboration with the Diocese of Foligno, owner of the monument, and the Little Brothers Jesus Caritas, who live in the abbey.

The Sassovivo project, directed by Prof. Lia Barelli and coordinated for the Gregorian University by Dr. Ottavio Bucarelli, involved every year the students of the Faculty of History and Cultural Heritage of the Church, who participated in the activities of excavation and study of the phases of the abbey church of medieval age.
