Safeguarding vulnerable people by promoting interdisciplinary academic initiatives

On 15 April 2021, the Congregation for Catholic Education approved the statutes of the new Institute of Anthropology. Interdisciplinary Studies on Human Dignity and Care (IADC), which builds on and continues the work and academic activities of the Centre for Child Protection (CCP).

We take the opportunity to introduce the IADC to the university and scientific communities, which affirms its commitment for the protection of minors, while at the same time, expands its mission to include the protection of vulnerable people and the creation of safe environments for all. Human dignity lies at the core of the new institute’s work, which intends to study and research safeguarding from a multidisciplinary perspective – fundamental to addressing issues surrounding abuse and its prevention.
