Synodos come Methodos

The Study Day of the Faculty of Philosophy is an opportunity to meet and discuss not only with the Faculty's current professors and students, but also with former students and friends who, in various ways, are linked to the Gregorian.

This year's theme, "Synodos come Methodos", is part of the synodal process that the Church has initiated: as philosophers we will ask ourselves if and to what extent philosophy is a thinking together, a con-philosophising (symphilosophein), and how the relational and communitarian element enters into the philosophical method.

The Day has two parts: in the morning Prof. Andrea Aguti and Prof. Stefano Bancalari will introduce the topic and dialogue with the participants; the afternoon sessions are dedicated to the students' papers and will end with a round table discussion animated by the speakers themselves.
