TDC039 - "Sinodo" e "sinodalità": approcci teologici

"In the one People of God, we walk together, to experience a Church that receives and lives the gift of unity and is open to the voice of the Spirit" (Pope Francis, October 9, 2021). The launching of the synodal process also challenges theology to deepen the theme of the "constitutively synodal Church", in order to dialogically integrate visions and skills, experiences and concerns, tradition and readings attentive to the "signs of the times".

The Faculty of Theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University is launching a course on "synod" and "synodality" for theology students and all those who care about the life of the Church. In 12 sessions, divided into two phases, our professors will address the topic from different angles. In the first phase ( sessions 1-6) they will address the question: "Where are we with synodality?", aiming to shed light on the main impulses that constitute the theological foundation of the synodal Church. In the second ( sessions 7-12), the themes encountered in the first moment will be taken up again in a transdisciplinary perspective, involving other scholars, engaged in related fields of research. 

The purpose of all meetings is to create a wide space for listening and sharing among participants, both in the classroom and online, thus implementing the synodal process to develop, even in theology, a truly synodal style.
