Since 1939, the series Miscellanea Historiae Pontificiae publishes studies that mainly concern pontifical history; it proposes results of original research on aspects of Church history from antiquity to the present day. It offers the opportunity for the Faculty of History and Cultural Heritage of the Church to reflect on the historical and artistic heritage of the Church. It promotes the meeting between scholars of different generations, the comparison with international historiography and the dialogue between historians and students.
