Dear students, professors and employees,
From this academic year begins in our University the Process of self-evaluation of the different faculties, institutes and centers. It involves students and teachers.
In each academic unit small groups will be formed to analyse the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of our University in general and of academic unity in particular. This analysis is called SWOT (Strengths/Weaknesses/ Opportunities/ Threats).
A very useful tool for this Process are the results of the Course Assessments and Seminars that you fill in at the end of each semester.
Another useful tool is the Satisfaction Questionnaires that the University asks the different components of the university community every two years: students, professors, administrative staff.
The entire process will conclude with the drafting of the Self-Assessment Report (RAV) which we will present to Avepro, the Holy See's Agency for the Evaluation and Promotion of Quality in Ecclesiastical Universities and Faculties. We have planned the presentation of the RAV at the end of the academic year 2020-2021.
After receiving our RAV, Avepro will send a Commission of experts to evaluate our University. During this visit the Commission will meet the different components of the Gregorian: students, professors and administrative staff.
The purpose of the visit is to evaluate and promote quality in our University.
I thank you in advance for your collaboration in this Process which sees us all involved in carrying forward the mission of the Gregorian in the Church and in the world.
For any clarification or further information you can contact the Executive Secretary of the Commission for Quality, Mabel Mercado, whose office is located on the 2nd floor of the Central Palace, in the Academic Vice Rectorate (C201), internal telephone 5344, email: firstname.lastname@example.org
With a heartfelt wish for a good start to the academic year, I greet you cordially,
Mark A. Lewis, SJ
