Objectives :Achieve a more advanced comprehension of various texts from the gospels of Mark and John and analyze them grammatically and syntactically.
Contents: Adjectives: comparative and superlative. Pronouns: reflexive, reciprocal, relative. Verbs: further explanation on the function of middle and passive voices. Verbal conjugation: future infinitive and participle; aorist indicative, imperative, infinitive, participle and subjunctive; perfect indicative, infinitive, participle and subjunctive; pluperfect indicative; verbs ending in – mi; non-thematic verbs.
Methodology : Each class session will consist of three parts: introduction of the new material, reading the New Testament, followed by analysis. There will be homeworks assigned as well.
Prerequisites: The student must have passed Greek I, or the corresponding qualification exam.
Means of evaluation: There will be a midterm and a final exam. The professor will explain the details at the beginning of the course.
The professor will provide handouts.
