THE SPIRIT-PARACLETE IN THE FOURTH GOSPEL
Characteristics: 4.0 ECTS - First six-month period
Course of "Laurea": Teologia: Baccellierato
Hours not available
Content: This seminar reflects on the role of the Spirit, the Paraclete, by referring to specific passages found within in the gospel of John. In the «hour» of glorification, Jesus promised to send from the Father the Spirit- Paraclete, which would remain with the disciples forever. The Spirit-Paraclete, the Holy Spirit, dwells within the community of believers and creates a participation in the very life of the Father and of the Son which, in turn, invites a response of faith and love toward God and neighbour. Objective: The aim of this seminar is twofold. First, it aims to present the Gospel’s doctrine on the Paraclete, including the intra-Trinitarian relationships which are associated with this doctrine. Second, it seeks to study the semantic approach and pragmatic implications for the believer as both an individual and as a member of a community.
