On Monday 6 May 2024 M.R. Fr. Arturo Sosa S.J., Vice Grand Chancellor of the University - by virtue of the Transitory Norms attached as an Appendix to the General Statutes (n. 6 concerning art. 72) of the new configuration of the Pontifical Gregorian University, approved ad experimentum for a five-year period by the Dicastery for Culture and Education on 11 February 2024 - has appointed Fr. Paul R. Mueller S.J. Prefect of the Library of the Pontifical Gregorian University as of 19 May 2024 and for the duration of three years.
