GUF 2023 Impact Report

The Gregorian University Foundation (GUF) is pleased to present the organization's 2023 Impact Report. The Report includes updates offered by GUF President Fr. Michael C. McFarland S.J., Director William J. Whelan III, as well as news on operating fund, funding highlights, foundation grants, initiatives, programs and events promoted by the GUF. It also presents a complete list of donations received.

"We will continue to work with the rectors of the Gregorian University, the Biblical Institute and the Oriental Institute as they seek to expand and strengthen their programs, while working toward a full integration of the three institutions into one Gregorian University", writes Fr. McFarland. "In particular, Fr. Mark Lewis, SJ, in his second year as Rector of the Gregorian, in consultation with the faculty and other constituents, has formulated a new strategic plan. This includes a proposal for a Center for Teaching Excellence, that will not only enhance the teaching there, but also train their graduate students, many of whom will go on to teach in seminaries and other educational institutions, in state-of-the-art pedagogy. Longer term, Fr. Lewis is looking to strengthen the faculty by adding more endowed professorships, as well as to upgrade their offices and classrooms". Among other proposals, the Cardinal Bea Centre for Judaic Studies wishes to encourage joint study on our common heritage of scripture, faith and moral life.

2023 was a good year, with 148 new donors among the 905 who wished to help our institutions and to whom all our gratitude goes. Read the 2023 Impact Report: https://gregorianfoundation.org/impact-report-2023-2/
