In this course we will examine Aquinas’ philosophical psychology
with respect to issues in contemporary philosophy of mind: perception,
dualism, materialism, qualia, consciousness, thought, intentionality, and
persons.
Obiettivi formativi: The course objective is an understanding of the
relevance of Aquinas’ philosophical psychology to the most important issues
in a contemporary philosophy of mind.
Metodologia: Lecture format. Student requirements of class attendance,
participation, a one page summary of the material covered in each
lecture, and a final fifteen minute oral exam.
