Objectives: At the end of the course, students will be able to recognize the various forms of maltreatment and to identify signs and indicators of abuse.

Content : Various forms of maltreatment and their consequences, impact of abuse on the lives of the victims, possible consequences of abuse, barriers to and aids for disclosure; specific dangers of cyber abuse.

Methodology: The course will combine lectures, reading, and seminar discussion and will focus on a range of selected texts.

Means of evaluation: Evaluation will be based on class participation, written papers, and reflections.
