Objectives: At the end of the course, the students will be able to analyze and think about theological concepts from the perspective of victims of sexual abuse. They will be able to look at the topic from the victim’s side, addressing possible challenges and issues.
Content : Contextual theology; standing in solidarity with victims of (clerical sexual) abuse (and with other poor and marginalized people); opportunities and challenges; areas to be examined in theology, spirituality, and formation and the consequences for theology, spirituality, and formation.
Methodology: The course will combine lectures, reading, and seminar discussion and will focus on a range of selected texts.
Means of evaluation: Evaluation will be based on class participation and a written paper.
