On Wednesday, May 31, 2023, the Rector Fr. Mark Lewis, S.J. - in accordance with Art. 32, §1 of the General Statutes of the Pontifical Gregorian University and Art. 18 of the General Regulations of the same University, after consultation with the Executive Council - appointed Rev. Fr. Paul Rolphy Pinto S.J. as Director of the Centre of Ignatian Spirituality for a three-year term, beginning on September 1, 2023.

"I thank Fr. Pinto for the willingness with which he has accepted to exercise this office in the service of the Centre and its delicate mission, and I offer him my best wishes," the Rector wrote in the communication to the University Community. "At the same time, I thank Fr. Grummer S.J. for having guided the Centre in these years and for having developed its activity in so many initiatives that he has initiated".
