Christmas 2022 - The Rector's greetings

On the last day of lessons, Rector Mark A. Lewis S.J. shared his Christmas greetings at the conclusion of the traditional carol singing that has enlivened the atrium of the Gregorian University from 12 December to today. "Some of you will return home to your families and friends, others will remain in Rome perhaps together with new friends that you may have met right here," the Rector told the University community gathered. "None of us will be alone and none of us will be poor, if we surrender to the Lord and let him conquer us".

Looking back on his first months as Rector, Fr. Lewis said he was happy with both the challenges ahead and the projects that are maturing. "What I wish for all of you is to always continue to dream big for your future and to have the courage of ideas that often allows us to open doors that seemed closed forever. Be joyful, be givers of love and don't forget to be a bit of a dreamer too!"

Lessons will resume on 9 January 2023. The Library will be closed to the public from 24 December 2022 to 2 January 2023, as well as on the Solemnity of the Epiphany. The G&B Press Bookshop will be closed from the afternoon of 23 December and will reopen to the public on 2 January 2023.
