Christmas 2023 - The Rector's greetings

On the last day of classes, Rector Mark A. Lewis S.J. shared his Christmas greetings at the conclusion of the traditional Christmas carol sing-along that revived the quadriporticus of the Gregoriana from 12 to 20 December. They can be reviewed on the University Chaplaincy's Facebook page.

"We are preparing to celebrate the descent among us of Jesus, 'Radiant Star of the Morning' and 'Sun of Justice', who loves every people on earth and comes precisely for each of us, to bring Peace", said the Rector to the University Community gathered. "I wish you to live ardently in the expectation of His coming and to open wide our hearts to Him, leaving behind all our fears and hesitations. His light will illuminate our paths and His hand will sustain us even when we feel wavering. The hand of Jesus is a hand that is always outstretched: it is up to us to seek it, and hold it, and let it guide us. Jesus is always here and leaves us the freedom to choose Him as our companion, so that we will never be alone".

Classes will resume on 8 January 2023. The Library will be closed to the public from 24 December 2022 to 2 January 2023, as well as on the Feast of the Epiphany.
