Italian Language Courses / Calendar A.Y. 2021-2022

For the Academic Year 2021-2022 the Italian language courses will take place both at the University and online. The courses are held in collaboration with the Centro Studi Cassia, and are aimed at helping students acquire a language proficiency sufficient to participate in day-to-day university activities and academic lessons. The registration form must be submitted both for classes held at the university and for online ones. The registration form is mandatory to schedule and prepare classrooms in advance, in compliance with Covid-19 prevention regulations.

    At the University - Italian Language Courses
    Participation in Italian language courses at the Gregorian University requires possession of the EU digital Covid-19 certificate. The attendance of each course is modulated on the overall duration of each one.

    • First semester / October 12 - November 4, 2021
      Duration: 20 hours - Course for the preparation of the Italian language test. Reserved for non-beginner students
    • First semester / 13 October - 20 December 2021
      Duration: 80 hours - Frequency: 3 lessons per week of 2 hours each
    • Second Semester / January 10, 2022 - February 12, 2022
      Duration: 80 hours - Frequency: daily lessons of 3 hours each
    • Second Semester / January 12, 2022 - March 11, 2022
      Duration: 60 hours - Frequency: 3 lessons per week of 2 hours each

    Online - Intensive Italian Language Courses
    Online Italian language courses will last 60 hours, from Monday to Friday, either in the morning or in the afternoon, according to the students’ time zones.

    • First semester / 25 October - 22 November 2021
    • First semester / November 22 - December 20, 2021
    • Second semester / January 17, 2022 - February 11, 2022
    • Second semester / February 14, 2022 - March 11, 2022

    Online courses will be conducted live via Zoom with our teachers, and include a digital course-book and additional teaching material provided during the course. The students' progress will be closely monitored with weekly tests and a final test following which they will be awarded a certificate of attendance.

    Students who have some previous knowledge of the language will be required to take an on-line entrance test to assess their proficiency according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
