Italian Language Intensive Courses / A.Y. 2023-2024

 

For the Academic Year 2023-2024 the Italian language courses will take place both at the University and online. The courses are held in collaboration with the Centro Studi Cassia, and are aimed at helping students acquire a language proficiency sufficient to participate in day-to-day university activities and academic lessons. The registration form must be submitted both for classes held at the university and for online ones.

    At the University - Italian Language Courses
    La partecipazione ai corsi di Lingua italiana in presenza avviene nelle aule della Pontificia Università Gregoriana. La frequenza di ogni corso è modulata sulla durata oraria complessiva.

    • 19 June - 24 July 2023
      Duration: 100 hours - Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (Registration until 10 June 2023)
    • 3 July - 28 July 2023
      Duration: 80 hours - Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (Registration until 24 June 2023)
    • 28 August - 29 September 2023
      Duration: 100 hours - Blended mode course: from Monday 28 August to Thursday 31 August the course will be in online mode, for 3 hours each day for a total of 12 hours. The timetable will take into account time zones as some students may still be in their countries.
      From Monday 4 September to Friday 29 September, the course will be in presence and will take place from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

    Online - Intensive Italian Language Courses
    All online Italian language courses last 60 hours and take place, for 3 hours a day, from Monday to Friday, in the morning or afternoon, taking into account the time zone of the students' Countries of origin.

    • 5 June - 30 June 2023
    • 3 July - 28 July 2023
    • 31 July - 29 August 2023

    Online courses will be conducted live via Zoom with our teachers, and include a digital course-book and additional teaching material provided during the course. The students' progress will be closely monitored with weekly tests and a final test following which they will be awarded a certificate of attendance.

    Students who have some previous knowledge of the language will be required to take an on-line entrance test to assess their proficiency according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
