A 700 anni dalla morte di Dante Alighieri - Lectio Magistralis «Dante e la Teologia»

700 years after his death, Dante Alighieri's words, symbols, and images continue to shape the human and divine mystery; and the women and men who accompany and encounter Dante on his poetic pilgrimage, weave into their stories our destiny, making the Poet a cantor of mercy, a prophet of freedom and hope (Pope Francis, Candor Lucis Aeternae, 2021). Trasumanar (Paradiso I, 70) is the verb of trespassing, of the imagination that penetrates the mystery, of the transfiguration that touches words and thoughts by summing them up in God: and it is in this direction that our commemoration wants to gather around the theme of the relationship between Dante and theology, and theology with Dante.
