"Gandhi, Cristo e il Cristianesimo"

Forum del Centro Studi Interreligiosi della Gregoriana a.a. 2021-2022

Gandhi, Christ and Christianity is a presentation based on a dual perception: Gandhi's perception of Jesus and Christianity, and Christians' perception of Gandhi. Inspired by Jesus, but without adhering to a Christian church, Gandhi accepted, rejected or reinterpreted him to arrive at his own perception of Jesus, but different from the 'Jesus' Christians believe in. Christian leaders, in turn, appreciate his valuable contribution to humanity both for the 'satyagraha' method that has freed more than sixty countries from political subjugation, and for the challenge to Christians to live a more authentic and committed Christian life for the betterment of the world.
