On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the Slovenian Catholic weekly Družina (The Family), we reflect on the path taken by a Catholic magazine, born in the harsh years of the communist dictatorship. The weekly, which was initially the only free newspaper (but not without restrictions) became an all-round publishing house, a real reference, after the fall of the authoritarian regime. 
A success story in a time of fragmentation and secularisation!
