Incontro semantico tra la "Fratellanza Umana" del Documento di Abu Dhabi e la "Dichiarazione universale dei diritti umani"

Forum del Centro Studi Interreligiosi della Gregoriana a.a. 2021-2022

The 1948 UN Declaration of Human Rights presents the theme of "Freedoms" of a civic nature which have become the Western societies' benchmark. Those same "Freedoms" are now presented in the Abu Dhabi Document (2019) jointly signed by Pope Francis and Grand Imam Ahmad al- Tayyeb as a "wise Divine Will!".

Since the Document prohibits the imposition of styles of civilisation that are not part of the cultural heritage of the social context to which it refers, with the current "social" integrations that are increasingly emerging especially in Europe, what will be the implications for the future of the 1948 Declaration of Human Rights?
