- L'ECCLÉSIOLOGIE DU PÈRE DE LUBAC
Each year, the French Embassy to the Holy See's Institut français-Centre Saint-Louis grants the Henri de Lubac Award to two outstanding doctoral dissertations defended at the Pontifical Universities in Rome (one in French; the other in different language). In this spirit, and over a three-year period, IFCSL has launched three symposia dedicated to this theological giant of the 20th century. In 2022, our symposium dealt with the creation of the famous "Sources chrétiennes" patristics series. This year, we are focusing on Cardinal Henri de Lubac's ecclesiology, which is more relevant than ever. Indeed, his writings reveal a faith that is particularly attentive to the issues of our time. In a special way, Particular Churches in the Universal Church makes him one of the key theologians to have thought through the "components of the essential structure of the Church."
