The Permanent Seminar on the History of the Papacy is organized by the periodical Archivum Historiae Pontificiae in collaboration with the Faculty of Church History and Cultural Heritage and under the patronage of the Pontifical Committee for Historical Sciences. The Seminar is divided into monthly meetings that aim to provide the scholarly community with a space for knowledge and discussion on the history of the Papacy and the Popes, both from a universal and a local perspective. Scholars and young researchers, from foreign universities and institutions, who are in Rome for study purposes, are especially involved in the seminar meetings.
