Ecclesiological Concretions in Ecumenical Perspective
On the occasion of the birthday of Cardinal Kurt Koch, who will be celebrating his 75th anniversary on 15 March 2025, the symposium is intended to honour his continuous scientific-theological activity. Since the actual jubilee will fall in the Holy Year, which will also be dedicated to the 1700th commemoration of the Council of Nicaea, the scientific conference will take place a year earlier.
The theme of the symposium would like to explore, from a Catholic and therefore ecumenical perspective, different facets of the realisation of the "una et unica ecclesia" (Lumen gentium 23, Unitatis redintegratio 3) in a broad theological horizon.

The event is organized by the Roman Institute of the Görres Society Campo Santo Teutonico Vaticano and the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas with the collaboration of the Faculty of Theology of the PUG.
