Remembering A. B. Yehoshua

On June 14, A. B. Yehoshua, one of the greatest authors of contemporary Jewish literature, known and appreciated all over the world, passed away at the age of 85. Born in Jerusalem in 1936, Yehoshua was able to tell the many faces of Israel starting from the historical-political events to the internal conflicts of society, while at the same time dedicating ample space to the complexity of human relationships and sentimental ties.

We wish to remember him by re-proposing his exciting conference, focused on the reinterpretation of the story of Cain and Abel, held in 2017 on the occasion of the “Ethics in literature” forum organized by the “Alberto Hurtado” Faith and Culture Center in collaboration with the Cardinal Bea Center.
