Department of Cultural Heritage of the Church

The Department of the Cultural Heritage of the Church arranges didactics, promotes research and higher education in the Cultural Heritage of the Church, with the aim of preparing professionals able to face institutional and professional positions in Dioceses, Religious Orders and Cultural Institutes, as well as teaching in Seminaries and Universities.

Combined with the more technical aspects related to conservation, protection and enhancement, the study of the Cultural Heritage of the Church is addressed within an appropriate historical and theological context, which makes it possible to recognize the permanent value of the Cultural Heritage as goods placed at the service of the Church's mission.

Studying in Rome offers students the extraordinary opportunity to be at the centre of Orbis Christianus, in the city which is the home of the Successor of Peter. In this way they can take advantage of the opportunities offered by the monuments, museums, archives, libraries, and experience the history of the Church of Rome.
