The two-year preparatory studies (the “Biennio propedeutico” or “first cycle”) are intended for students who do not have the requisite philosophical-theological background, even those who have already obtained an academic degree in civil law. This cycle is dedicated to the fundamental concepts of canon law and the philosophical and theological disciplines required for an advanced formation in canon law, i. e. for admission to the Second Cycle (Licentiate in Canon Law).

Admission

Admission to the two-year preparatory studies (the "first cycle”) is open to students who have the qualifications necessary to be admitted to civil universities of the country in which the previous studies were carried out.
