The Baccalaureate is a three-year period of study during which students acquire knowledge and understanding of the general lines of the historical development of the Church and, at the same time, the necessary tools to recognize and enhance its main artistic and cultural manifestations.

Ammissione

The following requirements must be met to access the I cycle:

  • the qualification necessary to be admitted to the Civil University of the country in which the previous studies were carried out;
  • a sufficient understanding of texts written in Latin. This ability must be proven by a test. If the Candidate does not pass it, he/she will have to follow a Latin course.
  • proven knowledge of the Italian language and the ability to understand texts written in one of the following languages: French, English, German, Spanish and Portuguese. This will be verified at the time of enrolment.

As provided for in the Statutes of the Faculty (art. 4 § 5), a personalized First Cycle Program is offered, lasting at least one year, for students who already have a university degree equal to the level of Baccalaureate or equivalent, but have not completed the First Cycle in this Faculty. These students must carry out a personalized Program established by the Dean or Moderator. Satisfied all the requirements required by the Dean or Moderator will be able to access the Second Cycle.
