Since 2016 the Department of Cultural Heritage of the Church has participated in the Sassovivo research project promoted by the School of Specialization in Architectural Heritage and Landscape of the Sapienza University of Rome, directed by Prof. Daniela Esposito, in collaboration with the Diocese of Foligno, owner of the monument, and the Little Brothers Jesus Caritas, inhabitants of the abbey. The Sassovivo project, directed by Prof.ssa Lia Barelli, has seen the involvement every year of the students of our Faculty, who have participated in the excavation and study of the phases of the abbey church of medieval age. The results of the research, still in progress, were presented to the public at conferences, lectures and seminars, and published in the series I quaderni di Sassovivo. History art archaeology.
